The AWD system is unchanged from previous years — which is the right call. Permanent Symmetrical AWD that already works on Tbilisi streets and Svaneti gorge roads simultaneously doesn't need reinventing. The 2023 adds comfort and technology on top of a proven mountain-capable platform.

2022 has the older 7-inch screen and standard EyeSight. If the larger screen and wireless CarPlay matter to you, the 2023 is worth the small price difference.
2024 brought a mild facelift with updated exterior styling. Interior and AWD are essentially the same as the 2023. Price difference between these two is minimal.
RAV4 has a larger cabin and on-demand AWD. Forester's permanently engaged AWD is better on loose surfaces. RAV4 is a better choice for larger groups needing more cargo space.
Sport has X-Mode terrain management for difficult off-road. For standard Georgia routes the 2023 is more comfortable; for serious mountain terrain, Sport's X-Mode goes further.
